This limited edition art print represents The Lockeed L10-E Electra flown by the famous aviator pioneer and author Amelia Earhart, on her last flight.

In 1937, Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan began a circumnavigation of the globe.  Leaving Miami on June 1st, she flew to South America, across the Atlantic to Africa, across the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

On July 2nd, she took off from Lae, New Guinea, bound for a tiny sliver of land called Howland Island in the middle of the South Pacific.  She never arrived and was presumed lost.
