The Alamo - Mission San Antonio De Valero

     Alamo Art Print

It was in this abandoned Spanish Mission in February, 1836 that David Crocket, James Bowie, William B Travis and about a hundred and eighty defenders were laid siege to by General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. All the defenders fell and Santa Anna proceeded east - where he met Houston at san Jacinto, and was defeated.

After photographing and measuring the Mission, I was able to produce the first accurate and complete set of plans for the structure, correcting some omissions and errors in the the information in the Library of Congress.  The drawings are now in the research collection of Daughters of the Republic of Texas Museum at the Alamo.
