Colt Army Model 1873

The Colt Army Model 1873 Revolver is considered by many to be the definitive Western sidearm.  Designed for the U. S. Government service revolver trials in 1873 to replace the Colt Army Model 1860 Percussion Revolver, this fine revolver became the standard military model and remained so until 1892.  Also known as the SAA, Colt Peacemaker and Single Action Army it was available in 4 ¾, 5 ½ and 7 ½ inch barrel lengths.  The gun stayed in production until the beginning of World War II.

Production began again in 1956 and continues as of this writing.
