About the Artist

Kenn Berry historical art.

The prints offered are of originals drawn by Kenn Berry, who's 35 year career in the art world has included teaching, writing, advertising photography, professional architectural model building and fine art digital illustration.

A life long interest in the story of man's significant objects has led to a study of buildings, aircraft, automobiles and other interesting artifacts.  These projects he carefully researches until he is confident that the drawing he produces will be as accurate as possible.

After photographing and measuring the Mission San Antonio De Valero in San Antonio, Texas, he was able to produce the first accurate set of plans for the structure, correcting some omissions and errors in the information in the Library of Congress.  The drawings are now in the research collection of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas Museum at the Alamo.

He has also created a twelve foot long radio control scale model of the USS Yorktown World War II Aircraft Carrier, which is now in the collection of the Patriot's Point Naval and Maritime Museum at Charleston Harbor, South Carolina.

Kenn does all of the work himself, from the research, to the drawing and to the printing, which he does on a state of the art digital printer which he owns.  Each print is inspected for quality, numbered, titled, dated and signed.

The images you will see on this website may appear a bit fuzzy, because they are low resolution jpegs at 72 dpi, (the standard for the web) but the giclees are printed at the very high resolution of 1440 dpi, on archival acid free art paper, which renders then faithfully to the originals.
